“Margiola - Four Generations” by Kostas Lakis
(Summer 2021)
A group of friends escaping from everyday life, around a table (the symbol of the Greek family), follows the footsteps of Margiola's story and her descendants.
The performance features the voice of Alekos Tsitos, Margiolas' great-grandson, on whose story the text "Margiolas - Four Generations" is based.
It was presented at archaeological sites (Acheron Necromancer, Parga Castle, Roman Odeon of Nikopolis) in collaboration with the Municipality of Preveza, the Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza and the Municipality of Parga.
The play "Margiola – four generations" is based on Georgia Skopouli’s book “In the Shadows of History” and on material and interviews collected by the group’s director.
Two men, three women (in a double cast) and two musicians follow the footsteps of the story of Margiola and her descendants. An obituary has been written for Margiola’s death that has become the crowning glory of Epirus’ obituary.

The well-known Epirus singer Dimitris Ifantis also participated in the performance at the Roman Odeon of Nikopolis, where he also performed Margiolas's lament at the beginning of the performance.
